Vote Family Style
is an Asian American Youth Engagement campaign that reaches each member of our family where they’re at, sometimes literally (Tiger Moms at Costco) or online (the LQBTQIA Sibling on Grindr). We believe in voting as a communal effort: not just for ourselves as individuals, but as part of a broader AAPI coalition that is the deciding factor in electoral politics.
Saving democracy is a group effort.
We have the power to be the deciding votes every election.
We know that. And even if establishments don’t invest in us, we’re betting on the power of the AAPI Diaspora family this year.
41% of young voters have an unfavorable opinion of both Biden and Trump.
72% of AAPI youth (ages 18-29) are either “definitely” or “probably” voting in 2024, compared to 65% across all racial demographics for this age group (Harvard Kennedy School, 2024.) Dream it
AAPI youth voters ages 18-29 are interested in politics, less than a third feel “well-qualified” to participate.

How to engage us and win this election?
Find us where we are and where we get our news.
Don’t give up.
Use multiple touch points through continued voter contact that translates into action in November
Speak our language and don’t talk down.
Most of us don’t like TV ads or political. ads. We need to recieve culturally-relevant, informed, and hard-hitting messaging
The Family Style Menu
The Asian American community is your family: diverse, wide-reaching, and a little bit hard to get a hold of sometimes.
We get families and get Asian America (like the therapist that your family would never go to), we know how to speak to each member of the family.
And we’re here to say, we hear you: we all have different priorities and are at different stages in our life, but at the end of the day we always have each others’ back so we’ll vote family style.
This means using our custom herb and spice blend of effective mobilization of young voters: using messaging that subverts traditional, routine forms of political messaging.
Our recipe utilizes multiple strategies, platforms, and trusted messengers to deliver effective GOTV content.
